Last month I spent a wonderful three days at the Photography Farm "down South" near London! Photography Farm is a workshop run by award-winning wedding photographer Lisa Devlin. To say I was looking forward to it would be an understatement, and happily it totally lived up to my expectations! Day one started with a Styled shoot of Hannah and Iwan, with a Jemima Puddleduck theme. A lovely authentic couple, they were so natural and fantastic to photograph. The set and styling were just gorgeous, an incredible amount of detail must have gone into the planning. I did feel very inspired being among so many creative people! :)
Day two was all about the business (and how to be more efficient at what you do), and no topic was left uncovered. Marketing, Social Media, Posing, Post-Production, Branding, Albums... I still have a to-do list the length of my arm which I will have to work through over the next few months!! Kat from Rock'n Roll Bride was also there to give us some hints about Social Media and submitting to Wedding blogs (which I really must do more often... another To Do!).
Day three arrived much too early and each one of us had some precious time with Lisa to talk about our business one-to-one.
This will sound like a cliche but I left feeling full of energy and plans for my business. Really, truly worth the experience. If you are reading this & are a wedding photographer - cannot recommend enough. Amazing atmosphere and all thanks to Lisa for creating the whole package.
A final shout out to my lovely peers and fellow farmers who attended the workshop with me! You were all lovely and I really hope we keep in touch!!
