Today I’m taking you with me to one of my favourite locations in the area, Rittergut Lucklum - a historic manor house near Braunschweig. Think exposed stone walls, cozy interiors, historic buildings, roses and ivy…my wonderful couple Lena & Dennis had a dreamy wedding in this stunning location.
I met up with both of them, separately of course, in the morning to get some shots of them getting ready, and was already in awe of their style at this point. They had a sweet first look outside their registry office in Wolfenbüttel (which incidentally, is one of the loveliest registry office I’ve seen so far).
The weather was amazing in the summer of 2018 and this was another scorcher of a day. I am pretty sure we had temperatures around 40 degrees around lunchtime, it was crazy! The registry office was a welcome cool refuge, especially for their little doggie, Bo!
After their ceremony, we went to the Rittergut Lucklum for their reception. Such a relaxing afternoon, their guests enjoyed sitting in the shade of the trees in the garden, and cake (by Tortenkreativ) was served in the afternoon. I would always always recommend serving cake in the afternoon, as everyone appreciates it so much more than late at night!
For their couple portraits, we really had all of the grounds of the manor house at our disposal. I have photographed at this location a few times now and I love discovering new spots and returning to old favourites.
Lena and Dennis’ choice in details matched the venue and style perfectly, this was one of my favourite table styling in the 2018 wedding season. Lena’s vintage style dress and flower wreath worked perfectly with the tone of the day.
Thanks to Lena and Dennis and all of their families for being so welcoming and lovely… such a relaxed wedding, so much beauty everywhere!
