Jan & Anetta / Hochzeit im Schloß Buchenau

This year I have been haunted by "Outlander" references. At one of my weddings in September in Scotland, I couldn't view the venue a day before the wedding because it was used for filming. And at Anetta and Jan's wedding, an "Outlander" convention took place the same weekend in the castle where they had their celebration.

Well, they couldn't have picked a finer scene. Schloß Buchenau was picture perfect with just the right touch of Scottishness to it. Jan's close connections to Scotland (having worked there) meant that there were a few nods to Scotland - their parents had organised a pipe band to play after their ceremony, Jan's suit had a touch of tartan in the material. And although this cannot be organised in quite the same way, there was a slight drizzle in the air, which only added to the atmosphere!

The colour scheme picked up on the rich autumnal colours of the coloured leaves and chestnuts. Flowers were supplied and decorated by Tanja Heusner. Their vintage car was lend to them by a good friend. Close connections to the family who runs Schloß Buchenau meant we had full access to the castle for our portraits (and when we chanced upon some "Outlander" dressed gents, of course we had to get them to step into the picture!).

But to witness the love between these two topped everyone off! I was genuinely honoured to be a part of this autumnal wedding fabulousness!
