There is a bit of a chill in the air now, which makes remembering the relatively balmy September day when Emily and Crawford got married, just a bit more difficult. I remember that I brought my rain jacket again, but we lucked out completely with their portrait session, as the sun was shining and the light, oh so pretty! I met with Crawford at the Hilton, and we started with some photos of the guys in front of the impressive building. I like the earthy colours of the stone there! The rain was on and off, but it was dry when Emily pulled up in her bridal car.
The ceremony was performed by a registrar and I loved the looks that they gave each other throughout, very sweet! We went to the Botanic Gardens just across the road for their portraits - and really, there would have been no place better suited. Emily and Crawford had told me before that they chose the venue partly because of the proximity to the Botanics! They are both horticulturalists and spent a fair amount of time studying in it. I love the fact that the pretty trees are not merely pretty trees to them, if that makes sense. But I may have pushed their patience a bit by constantly asking about names of plants hehe :)
Afterwards, we went back across the road (well, we drove ahem) to join in with the drinks reception. I left the happy couple just as they were about to be called in for their meal.
Emily & Crawford, I really enjoyed spending time with you and finding the best spots in the Botanics! I couldn't have asked for better clients :) Many congratulations again & I hope you enjoy this preview!
