This was another scorcher of a day. Not warm, but boy was it sunny! When I arrived at Christ the King Church, I took a photo of the sky which was a perfect blue with a little bit of white clouds thrown in. Maybe this was Lorna's "something blue". Lorna and her dad arrived in one of the most spacious limousines I've seen so far. You see, I always get in the front of the wedding car to take a photo when the bride arrives - and usually have to use a wide angle lens to take this shot. Not this time! The space!!
I loved their ceremony because it was very personal - the father knew Joseph through his job as a fire fighter. After the ceremony, it was back out into the sunshine as we took some photos around the church, before travelling on to Crowne Plaza next to the SECC for the reception. Lorna, Joe and I went for their portrait photo session next to the river and in the grounds of the hotel. The sun had now disappeared a little behind the clouds, but it was very windy. I have to applaud Lorna's hairdresser because she looked as fresh as a daisy after being absolutely blasted by the wind. (I, by contrast, looked decidedly worse for wear!)
I left the happy couple as everybody sat down for their wedding meal, but not before having photographed the room decorations which looked amazing. A beautiful day! Thank you so much Lorna and Joe for being so lovely and having me part of it. Really, truly enjoyed every moment. Speak soon!
