I'm happy to be sharing Claire and Andy's wedding photos today. They tied the knot in Glasgow's gorgeous University Chapel back in August. My day started at the hairdresser's, where Claire, her bridesmaids and her mum got their hair done. We then made our way across to the Piping Centre and the girls got ready and dressed! Time was flying by, as it always does on the wedding morning. I eventually left to catch up with Andy at the University. The wind was picking up, but the sun was still blasting down when a very emotional Claire and her dad arrived in a white taxi!
Claire and Andy chose a Humanist ceremony, which included sharing a drink of whisky from a quaich. I've seen this done before and think it's a lovely gesture - the difference was this time, that everybody joined in!
Glasgow University is a fantastic venue for a wedding ceremony, and one of the reasons for this is the cloisters. They are atmospheric, and most importantly, under cover! So when the heavens opened after Claire and Andy's ceremony, we just headed straight there for their portraits.
Back at the Piping Centre, the guests enjoyed a few drinks in the museum and bar, before Claire and Andy were piped into dinner, and the entertainment started with the speeches...
Claire & Andy, thanks for a fantastic day and much laughter despite the somewhat wet weather! And as I said - whenever it's raining now, you will think of your wedding day :) Hope you enjoy this preview of photos.
"We've had a look at our wedding photos, they are really really nice, you've done a great job, thank you. We are so glad we chose you and we have already recommended you to someone at Andy's work who's getting married. Love Claire and Andy x"
