Greece or Scotland? :)

Way back in June, Gary and I went on holiday in Scotland. Things have been mad since then, and I still haven't touched any of the hundreds of pictures I have taken! So with autumn clearly on the way, I thought it would be nice to post a little reminder of what summer was like..
The blue mountains in the background of the photo are the Isle of Arran - but doesn't it look just like a Greek island?

Photoshoot behind the scenes - Mareike in action!

Having your photo taken is a bit of a scary experience for some - let's face it, you don't usually get followed about with a camera! I find that fortunately, you forget about feeling self conscious after a few minutes and start having fun. It also helps to know what to expect. Which is what I'm posting about today. In June, I had an engagement shoot with a lovely couple - Sarah & Gary. While I was snapping away, my Gary filmed me in action. So today you get an "exclusive behind the scenes" account of what a photoshoot with me is like :) Very relaxed, and (hopefully) good fun. Enjoy...

Tiara, Jewellery & Fascinator Photoshoot - "Wedding and Baby"

When Louise from "Wedding and Baby" dropped me an email to ask if I would photograph some of her new designs for her website, I was definitely up for the challenge! Going with her vintage inspired jewellery and tiara designs, I suggested a park or garden location for the shoot - thinking about hedges, pathways, bird baths, statues... and it just so happened that Louise's friend had a garden which fitted this description perfectly. It also helped that Louise managed to get two gorgeous girls to model for her. The day was good fun and I really enjoyed myself. And Louise's new designs are wonderful - she's so talented. Denise & Alan & Kids : Trash the Dress

Two weeks ago, I had a "Trash the Dress" shoot with a difference: with a family! Denise and Alan got married in a quiet ceremony in July and were keen to have some further pictures taken, with the whole family. Their two daughters were absolutely adorable, and we had a lot of fun despite the (rainy) weather!
