Fiona & Col : Trash The Dress

Gary and I travelled to a murky Kirkcaldy last weekend for Fiona & Col's Trash The Dress shoot. I had been watching the skies sorrowfully on my journey - it was anybody's guess really how long we would have left until the heavens opened! It turns out, we only had 20 minutes - but the location, Ravenscraig Castle (which Fiona had suggested - great idea!), was perfect for this type of weather - meaning, we had somewhere to seek refuge from the rain. And it was all the more dramatic :)
Fiona & Col got married last month after knowing each other for years. They were just back from their honeymoon in Prague, and I loved how relaxed and happy they were in each other's company.

I also loved how fantastic they looked in their "dipping" pictures... Hope you like your pictures guys!!

Mel & Ewan : Trash The Dress

I'm excited to be posting photos from my first Trash the Dress shoot today! Mel & Ewan got married two years ago in Dumfries & Galloway. Just four months ago, Baby Eva arrived. I just couldn't believe that Mel already fitted back into her wedding dress!! I am truly impressed - I don't think I still fit into my dress, and that's after a year and no baby :)

Because Mel's dress was all nice and clean, and she wanted to keep it that way, we made sure that we didn't "trash" it too much. That didn't stop us from getting some awesome pictures though! Mel & Ewan were fantastic, followed all my strange suggestions ("Jump with the umbrella!") and managed to be completely natural in front of the camera, while walking along Prestwick beach and through a playground in their wedding attire. Thanks again guys and I hope you like your pictures...

Laura & Mark : Engaged

Gary and I were in Prestwick last weekend to do a photoshoot with Laura, Mark, Mel (Laura's sister-in-law-to-be) and Ewan (Mark's brother). In principle, the idea was to do an engagement shoot with Laura & Mark, and a Trash-the-Dress shoot with Mel & Ewan. Which is pretty much what happened. However they had brought quite a few extras - it wouldn't be exaggerated to call it a family outing! :) They were such a lovely family, and we had quite a few laughs! Thanks again guys for such an enjoyable shoot.

I'm going to start with posting some photos of Laura & Mark today (sorry Mel & Ewan - your photos will follow shortly!). They got engaged last year while on holiday - and are planning to get married abroad next year. The beach in Prestwick was therefore a perfect location for them! They had brought Jade, Laura's dog, who was happy to pose for a few pictures...

Ever seen a dog winking at you?? Here you go: :)

I loved their idea of bringing some wellies..

This photo makes me smile. Laura has such an infectious laugh! :)
