Catherine & Brian : Married

Catherine and Brian had a fantastic wedding day at the beginning of August in Elgin, Scotland. With both of them traveling the world (Brian was recently in Afghanistan and is now based in Wales, whereas Catherine spent the last year in Cairo), it meant a lot to them to be celebrating their wedding in Scotland and Catherine's family home proved the perfect location for their laid back reception.

Here are a few of my favourite photos of the day.

The weather is looking great as the guests start arriving at the church...

...and Brian is looking very dapper in his Captain's uniform.

We had some time for a few fun shots with best man Mark and the guys from the honour guard.

Some last minute words of advice from the best man.

Rings? Check!

The lovely bridesmaids Hannah and Jaclyn.

Unusually, Catherine opted for corsages instead of bouquets. A nice personal touch and they looked great!

The excitement is mounting as Catherine's car pulls up...

Catherine looks stunning in her wedding gown which was hand-made for her in Cairo.

Into the church... always one of my favourite moments of any wedding!

The honour guard have their big moment.

After the ceremony, we had a little time for some couple portraits at Catherine's family home.

Then there was a receiving line and onto the cake cutting...

Which was obviously a lot of fun!

The wedding breakfast was served in a marquee in the garden...

...and the day finished in style with a good ceilidh, which Catherine and Brian kicked off with a "Gay Gordon".

Catherine & Brian - I had a fantastic time at your wedding and I can't wait to show you the other photos. I hope you are enjoying your honeymoon and speak soon!
