When I arrived in the Old Town this morning, it was a very typical Scottish morning - windy and misty. I crossed over the Royal Mile with my hair blowing into my face. In fact, I could hardly see St Giles Cathedral through the mist (and hair ;). The unfortunate side effect was that I arrived at my meeting slightly disheveled with my hairstyle beyond repair ;) The afternoon however was much better, and after my meeting (and sitting down all day) I went for a short walk up to the Castle, to stretch my legs and get some fresh air before embarking on the long drive back to Glasgow. What can I say, all is well and the tourists have definitely started to arrive :)
While walking back to my car from the Castle, I took a few photos along the way, as per usual trying to find different angles to the obvious shots. A couple of times, I saw people stopping in their tracks and having a look at what the heck I was actually photographing. It was good fun!
The glorious Edinburgh Castle, which makes an impression in any weather...

This is the view from the castle down to Princes Street.

St Giles Cathedral... minus the early Morning mist!

This is Advocate's Close, one of the windy, cobbled streets in Edinburgh's Old Town
