Loch Ness : Weekend away

Once upon a time in December... I suggested to our group of friends to go away for a weekend. Together. I knew pretty much straight away that the best place to go would be the Highlands. Great scenery, great outdoor sports possibilities, in short: the works.
Last weekend, the time had finally come. After arriving in our log cabin on Friday, we spent much of Saturday river rafting on a very chilly River Oich (the water levels were high due to the melting snow!) and much of Sunday chilling out. Saying that, chilling out didn't prevent me from taking the odd photo or two (add great photo opportunities to my list above). I really enjoyed the weekend and the company - hope to repeat this soon guys!

The whole group (well, somebody had to take the photo :) on the terrace of our log cabin...

Nessie grafitti!

An old aluminium factory in Foyers...

This Hippie-style caravan is inhabited by a guy who left his job, his girlfriend and his home 17 years ago in search of the Loch Ness monster... and funds his research by selling models of Nessie... Crazy? Maybe just a little...

I've never seen ducks on choppy water before. They were surfing!
